Required Experience / Skills
- 2 years of ICU experience
- Patient ratio experience: 2–3 patients
- Ventilator management
- Central line management
- Arterial line management
- Titration of cardiac/vasoactive drips
- Continuous sedation/paralytics
- Blood product administration
- BiPAP/CPAP
- HFNC
- EKG/dysrhythmia interpretation
- Acute stroke/CVA management
- EVD/ICP monitoring
- Chest tubes
- ABG interpretation
- Renal failure management
- Post-neurosurgery/post-craniotomy care
- TBI/spinal cord injury
- Multisystem organ failure
- Starting/maintaining IVs
Important Floating Requirement
The RN may need to float to Med Surg/Telemetry when ICU census is low. The facility states that floating could happen for the majority of scheduled shifts, depending on census.
