Job Description:

Position involves working in a 9 bed ICU with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 2:1 unless specified otherwise. The ICU primarily handles adult patients; stable pediatric patients may be admitted but unstable cases are transferred elsewhere. The role requires readiness to float to other departments if necessary, without taking a full patient team. Additional pay is available for charge nurse duties.

Responsibilities:

• Provide care in a 9 bed ICU setting.
• Adjust care based on patient needs, including potential med/surg overflow.
• Work collaboratively within a team, ensuring a minimum team size of three nurses per shift.
• Float to other departments as needed for support, without assuming full patient management responsibilities.

Requirements:

• Must have Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
• Must possess Pediatric experience.
