Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality care to critically ill patients in the ICU.
- Manage and monitor patient care, ensuring adherence to established protocols and safety standards.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Administer medications, treatments, and procedures as prescribed by healthcare providers.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using the Cerner charting system.
- Respond to emergencies and provide life-saving interventions as needed.
- Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatment plans, and post-discharge care.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an ICU setting.
- Previous charge experience preferred.
- Experience with a patient ratio of 2:1.
- Proficiency in the Cerner charting system preferred.
- Community hospital experience preferred.
- Current certifications in ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS required.
- Strong skills in managing ports, arterial line management, and ventilator management.
- Proficient in emergency medications, dysrhythmia interpretation, and infection prevention.
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations and make quick, effective decisions.
