Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, ICU – Albuquerque, NM 87102
Start Date: September 14, 2026
Location: Albuquerque, New Mexico
Schedule: Night shift, 4x12-hour shifts (6:30 PM - 7:00 AM). Option of 36 or 48 hours per week. Weekend coverage required with 6 weekend shifts per schedule period. Patient ratio 1:2.
Highlights:
- 13-week travel assignment in a 32-bed Intensive Care Unit
- First-time travelers welcome with 1.5+ years of ICU experience
- Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more
- Flexible scheduling with option for 36 or 48 hours per week at straight time
- May float to similar units including Medical-Surgical, Stepdown, PCU, ER, or CVICU with a maximum of 4 patients when floating
- 24-36 hours of orientation provided to support your transition
Requirements:
- Active New Mexico or Compact State RN license (pending license accepted, must be obtained prior to start date)
- Minimum 1.5-2 years of ICU nursing experience required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required; NIHSS certification required
- Experience with 1:2 patient ratios in critical care settings
- Proficiency in critical care skills including ventilator management, arterial line management, central line care, vasoactive drip titration, and blood product administration
- Must reside outside 50-mile local radius
- Completion of facility-specific modules during orientation (4-6 hours)
