Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Trauma ICU – Tyler, TX 75701
Start Date: September 8, 2026
Location: Tyler, Texas
Schedule: Days, 3x12-hour shifts (07:00 - 19:00). Patient ratio 1:2. Float to ICU, IMC, and Telemetry as needed. Half of weekends required during contract.
Highlights:
- Level I Trauma ICU with 16 beds and 14 rooms, average daily census of 14 patients
- 13-week travel assignment in a dynamic trauma environment
- Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, physical therapy, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more
- Epic charting system utilized throughout the unit
- Orientation provided with onsite module completion
- One pre-approved time off period available
Requirements:
- Active RN license (state or compact license must be in hand at time of application)
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience preferred
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- Epic charting system experience required
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
- Preferred certifications: PALS, TNCC
- Level I or Level II Trauma experience preferred
- Skills required: BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, ventilated patient care, central line care/management, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, IV starts and maintenance
- Preferred skills: ICP monitoring, ventilator management, Level I Trauma experience
- Must not reside in the following Texas counties: Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, or Morris
