Job Summary:
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse (RN) position available in a mixed unit environment. The role requires a nurse comfortable managing both ICU and medical-surgical patients, with a focus on critical patient care and monitoring. This assignment offers a dynamic work setting with scheduled shifts and opportunities for flexible scheduling.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours each, from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Certifications: Valid BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
  • Qualifications: Must have at least 2 years of recent ICU or telemetry nursing experience, be a tele nurse, able to read electrocardiogram strips, and manage set-rate drips including Dobutamine, Amiodarone, Heparin, Push Cardizem, and Lopressor. Must be capable of titrating drips and interpreting Philips cardiac monitor strips.
  • Experience: Relevant ICU or telemetry experience preferred, with the ability to handle common critical care diagnoses such as post-cath/pacer, CHF, COPD, pneumonia, oncology patients, chemo-certified nurses, COVID-19 patients, and post-surgical patients.
  • Additional Information: The unit includes Nurse Aides with a 1:8-10 ratio, and equipment such as Bipap, Cpap, and ventilators. The nurse will function as a charge nurse and is expected to float to other medical-surgical floors if necessary. Nurses are required to participate in a brief orientation period.
