Job Summary:
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Nursing in an acute care setting requires delivering high-quality care to adult patients with complex medical needs. This travel nursing position involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care in collaboration with other healthcare team members. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in telemetry, dysrhythmia interpretation, and advanced certification requirements to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, with an estimated 36 hours per week and potential for overtime.
- Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications, EPIC electronic medical record experience within the last 12 months in a similar unit, and at least 3 years of clinical experience in intensive care settings.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and self-studying telemetry strips and passing related assessments.
- Additional Information: The traveler must be prepared to self-study telemetry strips upon acceptance, as a Basic Dysrhythmia test-out will be administered in the first week; passing is required to work in ICU-Critical Care Units. The position involves every other weekend rotation and holiday shifts. While not part of a regular call rotation, on-call periods may occur during low census, with response times expected within one hour.
