An ICU (Intensive Care Unit) Registered Nurse is needed in a healthcare organization at a facility in Philadelphia, PA. This position involves providing critical care nursing to patients in various intensive care settings, including ICU, step-down units, IMCU, and Emergency Department for ICU holds, with opportunities to float to other units as needed. The role requires managing patient care with a high level of expertise and coordination, following established standards and protocols.
Job Details
- Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (Required), PA Registered Nurse License (Required), Basic Life Support (Required), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (Required), National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (Required).
- Preferred Qualifications: Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC).
- Experience: 2 years of nursing experience with 1 year in ICU, minimum experience required.
- Additional Information: ICU Registered Nurses will float to all ICUs, step-down units, IMCU, and Emergency Department for ICU holds. They may also float to Womens and Family units if needed, with orientation provided. Patient ratios will not exceed 1:3 when assigned to any unit. RNs will be assigned 24 hours in advance but may be pulled mid-shift to float to different units. The start date for this assignment is 09/14/2026, and the end date is 12/13/2026. RTO expectations are no more than five days, with some flexibility around holidays; travelers do not work on holidays but are expected to work surrounding days as needed.
