Job Summary:
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse position is available at a facility dedicated to providing specialized care for adult patients with complex critical conditions. Based in a magnet and teaching hospital, this role involves working in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment with a focus on cardiac, neuro, and respiratory care.
Job Details:
- Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid license to practice as a Registered Nurse, two years of ICU experience, certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS. Experience with medical intensive care units, surgical intensive care units, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, and ventilator management is essential.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with trauma level I or II, community hospital background, and prior experience with neuro and post-transplant units.
- Schedule: Nights with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Additional Information: Willing to float within ICU service lines to meet facility needs. No on-call requirement. Guaranteed three shifts per 13 weeks, with scheduled holiday shifts and charge RN assignments as needed. Certification and compliance requirements include completion of training modules prior to start date, with labs completed within 48-72 hours of signing. License must be in hand at the time of submission.
- Special Requirements: Strong cardiac and neuro ICU experience required. Knowledge of invasive monitoring, advanced airway management, and complex patient care procedures necessary. The position involves caring for adults and geriatrics with diagnoses including respiratory failure, ARDS, sepsis, stroke, cardiac arrest, and multi-organ failure.
