Job Summary:
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Nurse position in a healthcare setting. This role involves providing high-acuity care to critically ill patients, including those who are intubated, sedated, and require chest tube management along with continuous monitoring. The nurse will practice independently in a demanding environment, ensuring comprehensive patient care and effective collaboration with the healthcare team.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (preferred); 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty (preferred); RN License in the state of Texas or a compact license; BLS (AHA) certification; ACLS (AHA) certification.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a high-acuity ICU setting with managing ventilated and sedated patients; additional specialty certifications are a plus.
- Additional Information: The role involves caring for high-acuity ICU patients, including those requiring chest tube management and continuous critical care monitoring. Flexibility to shift to other departments may be possible at the end of the contract.
