Job Summary:
The organization is seeking experienced Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurses (RNs) for a travel assignment in Thornton, Colorado. This role involves providing critical care to patients in a busy ICU setting, supporting a team dedicated to high-quality patient outcomes. The position offers the opportunity to work with advanced equipment and a highly regarded team of intensivists in a newly expanded unit.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Valid ICU experience of at least 1 year in an acute care hospital, current BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications, Colorado state nursing license, and candidates must have no less than 1 year of current ICU experience.
  • Preferred Qualifications: TNCC certification, Meditech electronic medical record experience
  • Float: Float rotation may be required.
  • Additional Information: The ICU features a 28-bed unit with recent expansion, state-of-the-art equipment including Pyxis medication stations, GE bedside monitors, and specialized technology such as Artic Sun and Sub Zero cooling devices. The team is composed of experienced staff with some members having over 20 years of service. The unit is preparing for a level II trauma survey and is supported by 24/7 intensivists who are highly praised for their teaching, patience, and support. Staff are welcoming and supportive of travel nurses, and the unit maintains an average census of 100-125 patients.
