Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, ICU – Albuquerque, NM 87102
Start Date: September 14, 2026
Location: Albuquerque, New Mexico
Schedule: Night shift, 4x12-hour shifts (6:30 PM - 7:00 AM), with option for 36 or 48 hours per week. Weekend coverage required (6 weekend shifts per schedule period). Patient ratio 1:2. May be floated to Medical-Surgical, Stepdown, PCU, Emergency Department, or CVICU with a maximum of 4 patients while floating.
Highlights:
- First-time travelers welcome with 1.5+ years of ICU experience
- Pending New Mexico or Compact state license accepted (must be obtained prior to start date)
- 32-bed Intensive Care Unit with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Pharmacy, and Rapid Response Teams
- 24-hour orientation period with onsite module completion
- 13-week assignment with opportunity to work 48 hours at straight time
- Adult patient population with advanced critical care technologies and procedures
Requirements:
- Active Registered Nurse license (New Mexico or Compact state; pending license accepted)
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience with ICU background
- Current certifications: BLS and ACLS required; NIHSS required
- Experience with 1:2 patient ratios in critical care settings
- Proficiency in critical care skills including ventilator management, arterial line management, central line care, vasoactive drip titration, cardiac drip titration, blood product administration, and management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction
- Must reside outside 50-mile local radius
- Ability to complete required labs within 48 business hours of contract signing
