- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,250 - $2,370
- Shift: 12-hour rotating shifts, including nights
- Schedule: 80 hours every 2 weeks
- Setting: Intensive Care / Coronary Care Unit (ICU/CCU)
- Location: Waimea, HI 96796, on the scenic island of Kauai
- Unit Size: 4-bed / 4-room ICU
- Patient Ratio: 1:2 depending on acuity
Job Requirements
- At least 1 year of ICU/CCU nursing experience
- Active RN license in good standing
- Experience caring for patients with serious respiratory and/or cardiac conditions
- Ability to work rotating shifts and maintain flexibility with unit needs
- Comfort working with ventilated patients and higher-acuity assignments
- Willingness to float to OB, Med-Surg, PACU, and ER based on competency level
- Emergency room and PACU recovery experience preferred
- Ability to complete orientation, competency binder, and unit-specific training
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality ICU/CCU care to surgical and medically complex patients
- Coordinate patient care and respond to individualized age-appropriate needs
- Monitor and care for patients with respiratory and cardiac conditions requiring critical care support
- Maintain safe staffing support and collaborate with the care team when acuity increases
- Assist with patients requiring ventilator support and specialized ICU interventions
- Float to other departments as needed and within competency to support patient care needs
- Participate in hospital and unit orientation to ensure safe, effective practice
- Deliver compassionate, detail-oriented care in a dynamic critical care setting
