Job Summary:
A Hospice registered nurse (RN) position is available in Cheyenne, Wyoming. This role involves providing compassionate end-of-life care to adult patients at a hospice unit, working on a rotating schedule that includes night shifts. The nurse will perform patient assessments, medication management, and documentation using EPIC charting, with a patient nurse ratio of one to six.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid driver's license and insurance, BLS certification, at least 2 years of clinical experience, and a current license to practice as an RN.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in hospice or end-of-life care settings.
- Additional Information: Nurse will be responsible for patient assessments, recertifications, start of care, and daily visits within a hospice environment. The role requires flexibility to work weekends and holidays. No call or standby requirements and no floating duties are involved. Orientation specific to hospice care will be provided.
