Job Summary:
Home Healthcare RN position in Wausau, Wisconsin. This contract role involves providing skilled nursing services to home health patients, managing an average of 20-25 patients per day, and completing approximately 4.5 visits daily. The position offers a schedule of 8-hour days, with flexibility depending on census, and includes rotation for weekends and holidays.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 8 hours days, roughly 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with possible start and end time flexibility based on census.
- Required Qualifications: Active Wisconsin or Compact state nursing license, Bachelor's Degree or Certificate in Nursing preferred, at least 2 years of home health experience, prior travel experience required, valid Driver's license, AHA or ARC Basic Life Support certification, OASIS certification a plus, experience with Epic Remote Client/Remote Care, charting in Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems, clinical competencies in wound care, intravenous therapy, ports, lab draws, and chronic disease management.
- Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree.
- Travel Details: Traveling between 25-60 miles daily depending on territory, patient census, and staffing, with mileage reimbursed at the government-approved rate. Limited potential to be assigned to Medford, Antigo, and Wisconsin Rapids areas. Travelers may be on call during low census hours and are eligible for callback pay if called back to work.
- Additional Information: The position involves heavy documentation requirements, time management, resilience, dependable and accountable behavior, compassion, and a positive attitude. Scrub color for uniforms is navy blue. During flu season, unvaccinated travelers must wear masks at all times, as per organizational policy.
