Job Requirements

• Active New Mexico RN license or current compact state RN license
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Current ACLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program
• At least 1 year of recent Registered Nurse experience required
• Strong clinical assessment skills and the ability to care for adult telemetry patients
• Ability to communicate clearly, work collaboratively, and maintain a calm presence in a fast-paced acute care setting

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, efficient, and patient-centered nursing care for telemetry patients
• Care for post-cardiac cath and post-surgical patients in a hospital setting
• Monitor patients receiving high-risk medications and continuous infusions
• Support patients with respiratory needs, including NIPPV, BiPAP, and AirVo
• Complete initial and ongoing assessments, identify trends, and escalate concerns as needed
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care
• Educate patients and families and assist with discharge planning
• Perform and document timely interventions and point-of-care testing
