Position Overview: Provide high-acuity emergency nursing care in a fast-paced 54-bed Level II Trauma Center, managing adult and pediatric patients with medical, neurological, respiratory, cardiac, and traumatic emergencies while delivering timely assessment, stabilization, treatment, and monitoring.
Job duties:
- Perform rapid emergency assessments, triage, and prioritization of adult and pediatric patients based on acuity.
- Manage respiratory emergencies including ventilated patients, BiPAP/CPAP therapy, ABG interpretation, and oxygenation support.
- Administer IV medications, vasopressors, sedation, blood products, and procedural sedation while monitoring patient response.
- Provide emergency care for CVA, STEMI, shock, trauma, gunshot wounds, and other high-acuity conditions with continuous cardiac monitoring.
- Initiate and maintain IV access, manage central lines, interpret dysrhythmias, and respond promptly to clinical deterioration.
Requirements:
License: Active Registered Nurse license; state-specific requirements apply
Experience: 2 years RN experience; minimum 1 year ED travel nursing experience required
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS
Other requirement: EPIC experience required

Patient Population: High-acuity adult and pediatric emergency patients
Patient Diagnoses: CVA/stroke, STEMI, shock, trauma, gunshot wounds, respiratory emergencies, dysrhythmias, orthopedic trauma, and other acute medical emergencies
Level II Trauma Center; very busy 54-bed ER
