Summary
Join our team as a dedicated Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department located in New Haven, CT. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced nurses seeking a dynamic work environment in a Level I Trauma Center. Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, reporting any changes to the healthcare team.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using the Epic charting system.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards.
- Participate in emergency response and trauma care as needed.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in an Emergency Department setting.
- Experience in a Level I Trauma Center is required.
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications are mandatory.
- Proficiency with the Epic charting system is preferred.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work night shifts and every other weekend as required.
