- Orientation: Bi-weekly orientation with structured onboarding
Job Requirements
- Active RN license in North Carolina or a compact license in hand at the time of submission
- Minimum of 2 years of recent Emergency Room nursing experience
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Epic charting experience required
- Strong clinical skills in emergency assessment, triage, and patient prioritization
- Ability to work effectively in a high-volume, fast-paced emergency care environment
- At least 1 year of nursing experience required if not otherwise specified
- Supervisory reference from within the last year required
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to emergency patients with a wide range of conditions and acuity levels
- Perform rapid assessments, triage patients appropriately, and respond to changes in patient condition
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary team members to support timely treatment
- Administer medications, monitor responses, and support urgent interventions as needed
- Document patient care accurately in Epic and maintain strong communication throughout the shift
- Deliver compassionate care to adolescents, infants, adults, pediatric patients, and geriatric patients
- Contribute to a safe, organized, and efficient emergency department workflow
- Support a team culture focused on responsiveness, teamwork, and excellent patient outcomes
