Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license; New Mexico or compact RN license accepted prior to start
• At least 1 year of recent RN experience required; 2 years preferred
• Emergency room nursing, acute care, or similar high-acuity experience strongly preferred
• Current ACLS, BLS, CPI, and NIHSS certifications
• Comfortable caring for patients with med-surg and telemetry needs
• Ability to work in a collaborative team environment and float to like units as needed
• Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to manage changing patient needs

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate care to patients in an ER Holding / Rapid Admit setting
• Monitor patients with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio and respond to changes in condition
• Administer medications and treatments per plan of care and facility protocols
• Support patients requiring telemetry monitoring, IV therapy, oxygen administration, and wound care
• Collaborate with rapid response, respiratory therapy, radiology, pharmacy, and other interdisciplinary partners
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Assist with safe patient admissions, transfers, and discharge preparation
• Promote a positive patient experience through professional communication and teamwork
