Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Emergency Department – Tyler, TX 75708
Start Date: September 8, 2026
Location: Tyler, Texas
Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM). Patient ratio of 3:1. Every other weekend required. 24-hour orientation provided.
Highlights:
- Emergency Department position serving all patient age groups from neonates to geriatrics
- 14-bed unit with average daily census of 34 patients and approximately 32 visits per day
- Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, and rapid response teams
- Epic charting system experience required
- 91-day assignment with one pre-approved time off period available
- Collaborative environment with full interpretation services and advanced clinical resources
Requirements:
- Active Texas RN license or compact license (must be in hand at time of application)
- Minimum 2-3 years of nursing experience required
- Previous travel experience required
- Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC
- Epic charting system experience required
- Community hospital experience preferred
- Previous charge experience preferred
- Proficiency in emergency nursing skills including trauma care, procedural sedation, triage, IV management, and critical care interventions
- Must complete core compliance items and labs within 48 hours of contract signing
