Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care in the Electrophysiology (EP) Lab, ensuring patient safety and adherence to established protocols.
- Monitor and assess patient conditions during procedures, including End-Tidal CO2 Monitoring and Activated Clotting Time (ACT).
- Administer medications such as antiarrhythmics and antihypertensives, and manage procedural sedation.
- Assist in various cardiac procedures including angioplasty, cardiac ablation, and pacemaker insertion.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation using the Epic charting system.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Cardiac Cath or EP Lab setting.
- Must possess a permanent MA nursing license.
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP.
- Experience with the Epic charting system is preferred.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
