Job Summary:
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse position in an unspecified location. This role involves primary care for ER and Intensive Care Unit (ICU) patients, with potential floating to other nursing units to provide assistance as needed. Responsibilities include expediting on other floors, patient sitting, aiding with transport, telemetry monitoring, and participation as a member of the rapid response and code blue teams. Shifts are 12 hours, rotating between evenings and nights, with a typical schedule of 72 to 80 hours every two weeks.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Rotating shifts, 8-hour shift hours, minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license; experience in Emergency Room (ER) nursing and Intensive Care Unit (ICU) nursing; minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; location requirements as applicable; certification or training in emergency and critical care nursing preferred
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience assisting with rapid response and code blue procedures; telemetry monitoring skills; ability to assist across multiple nursing units
