Job Summary:
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse position in an acute care facility provides high-quality emergency care in a busy environment. The role involves managing a variety of trauma and medical cases with a focus on patient safety, efficient flow, and adherence to clinical protocols. This position requires flexibility to rotate shifts and work on a 12-hour schedule.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Rotating 12-hour shifts (7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.), with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Certifications in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC). Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of emergency room experience and prior medical-surgical experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: None specified.
- Float: Float to medical-surgical and swing bed units on the same unit may be required.
- Additional Information: The ER is a Level IV trauma center with STEMI receiving and stroke designation,4 beds, and 2 trauma bays. The department manages approximately 10 patients daily. The team includes ED physicians, mid-level providers, nurse charge nurses, and patient sitters. RNs are required to read monitors and perform troubleshooting as needed. The unit uses Point Click Care (PCC) charting system.
- Other details: Candidates must have an active license to submit. The assignment dates are from 08/24/2026 to 11/23/2026. RTO (Referral To Office) must be requested upfront; additional RTO during the assignment will not be approved.
