Job Summary:
The ER (Emergency Room) registered nurse (RN) position is based in an adult emergency department within a high-volume, nationally recognized academic medical center. This position involves delivering specialized patient care in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, requiring flexibility and clinical expertise. The role supports a traveler-friendly culture and provides an outstanding opportunity for resume enhancement.
Job Details:
- Location: Facility is an adult emergency department within a major metropolitan area.
- Shift Details: Twelve-hour night shifts (7:00 PM 7:30 AM).
- Schedule: 36 hours per week, with variable days, including weekends and holidays.
- Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of emergency department RN experience.
- Most recent 12 months must include assignments at an academic medical center or a Level I or Level II Trauma Center in a major metropolitan area.
- Valid Florida RN license or compact RN license at the time of submission.
- Current BLS, ACLS, PALS or ENPC certifications.
- Recent EPIC electronic medical record experience listed clearly in the submission packet.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- TNCC certification.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information:
- All new RN hires must successfully complete specialty-specific competency and EKG exams with a minimum score of 80%. Passing the identification of lethal rhythms is mandatory regardless of overall EKG score.
- Candidates are encouraged to review cardiac rhythms prior to start.
- The assignment is scheduled from 09/21/2026 to 01/09/2027.
- No RTO permitted during the first 2 weeks; maximum of 10 days allowed for a 13-week contract.
- Unplanned time off may result in contract cancellation if shifts are not made up.
- No employment gaps greater than 30 days without explanation are permitted.
- Florida AHCA processing may take up to 14 business days from paperwork receipt.
