Job Summary:
Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) for the night shift at a healthcare facility in Fond du Lac, WI. This position involves providing high-quality emergency care within a cohesive team environment, following established protocols, and assisting with point of care testing. The assignment is for an initial 13-week contract with potential for extension, starting as soon as possible.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 12-hour night shifts (7 p.m. 7 a.m.), guaranteed 36 hours per week, with potential for up to every other weekend and occasional holiday rotation.
- Required Qualifications: Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) license, American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC). 3+ years of Emergency Room (ER) RN experience required. Must have completed at least one prior travel contract.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with point of care testing, including blood sample spin-down, point of care lab testing, and ISTAT reporting; laboratory training will be provided.
- Schedule: Shifts are 12 hours, overnight (7 p.m. 7 a.m.), with a minimum guaranteed 36 hours per week.
- Additional Information: The role involves float responsibilities to Medical/Surgical units and neighboring facilities within a 60-mile radius, supporting team members, and working within an integrated care model. No on-call responsibilities.
- Certification & Education: Active Wisconsin RN license; associate degree or certificate required.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of ER RN experience required; at least one completed travel contract is necessary.
