Job Summary:
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse position located in Manitowoc, Wisconsin. This role involves providing care to a diverse patient population ranging from neonates to geriatrics within a Level IV Trauma Center and Primary Stroke Center. The ER team operates on a night shift schedule, supporting a fast-paced environment with a variety of clinical responsibilities.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights shift, 12-hour hours, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, TNCC, PALS certifications; de-escalation training (MOAB or CPI); at least 2 years of emergency nursing experience; Wisconsin licensure; no minimum experience required.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a Level IV Trauma Center preferred.
- Support on the Unit: Nursing support staff (CNA) at a ratio of 1:12; no titled Charge RN in the ER; RN staff will perform phlebotomy at the bedside; Resource or Lead RNs function as clinical resources; hospitalists available 24/7; bedside and nursing station telemetry with no tele tech staff.
- Charting System/Equipment: Epic electronic health record system; GE monitors; Alaris infusion pumps; Pyxis medication management.
- Floating: No floating required.
- Orientation: One shift on the unit to learn the flow.
- Scheduling: Every other weekend rotation; flexibility for approved time off up to 7 days, considering departmental staffing needs.
- Additional Notes: Scrub color and parking are provided; parking is free and onsite.
