Job Summary:
Emergency Room Nurse specializing in Pediatric Emergency Care in Baltimore, Maryland. This position involves providing specialized nursing care in a dedicated pediatric emergency department that handles a broad spectrum of pediatric patient needs from newborns to young adults up to age 21 years, including specific populations such as pediatric oncology and trauma patients. The role requires delivering high-quality patient care across various pediatric specialties in a fast-paced, trauma and burn center environment.

Job Details:

  • Location: Baltimore, Maryland
  • Schedule: Rotating shift, 12 hours shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: RN license; BLS (Basic Life Support); PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support); 2 years of experience in Pediatric Emergency Room or Pediatric Psychiatry; at least 1 travel assignment
  • Preferred Qualifications: EPIC electronic health record system experience
  • Additional Information: Pediatric emergency care encompasses specialties including neurology, neurosurgery, oncology, hematology, endocrine, genetics, pulmonary, cardiac, orthopedics, ophthalmology, general pediatric surgery, general pediatrics, rheumatology, psychiatry, gastrointestinal, urology, burns, trauma, and eye. Patients range from newborns to 21 years and 364 days, with exceptions for young adults with pediatric oncology diagnoses up to age 25 and pediatric trauma up to age 14. Candidates with previous employment at any Johns Hopkins Healthcare facility must have been away for at least one year before applying as a traveler.
