Job Summary
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse This position is located in an adult and pediatric emergency department. The ER Nurse will provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment, managing a diverse caseload including trauma, medical emergencies, and various acute conditions. The role requires strong clinical skills and the ability to adapt quickly to changing patient needs.
Job Details
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid Illinois nursing license, minimum of 2 years of ER experience, certifications in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC).
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC
- Work Settings: General Emergency Department for combined adult and pediatric care
- Experience: At least 2 years of recent ER experience; no prior travel experience required
- Schedule: Night shifts, Friday, Saturday, and one additional day during the week as needed; shift hours are 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM

- Additional Information: The facility cares for a daily census of approximately 41 patients across 12 rooms and 11 beds. The ER team provides interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, and unit secretary services. Candidates must be aware of and agree to floating within the hospital or to nearby facilities and work at least two of the three major holidays.
