Job Summary:
Emergency Room (ER) Registered Nurse position in an urban healthcare facility. This role involves providing high-acuity emergency care across all ages, including stroke, STEMI, walk-in traumas, and psychiatric cases. The RN will work night shifts in a busy ER setting, supporting a fast-paced environment that requires clinical expertise and adaptability.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shifts with 12-hour hours, minimum of 36 hours per week, starting 09/14/2026 and ending 12/12/2026.
- Required Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Nursing or equivalent, current nursing license, at least 1 year of ER experience, BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and CPI certifications.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with trauma care, vent care, ICU drip maintenance, chest tubes, arterial lines, PICC lines, midline, ports, Foley catheter management, splint/orthopedic device application, bipap/high-flow oxygen, and continuous bladder irrigation.
- Additional Information: Must be able to care for high-acuity patients including stroke, trauma, and psychiatric cases. The unit operates with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4. Orientation will be provided on the facility and unit specific protocols. Scrubs are Galaxy Blue with black bottoms; parking is free. No floating requirements. Weekend rotations occur every third week; no on-call expectations. Holiday shifts are based on unit needs, with approval of time-off requests mandatory for time off.
