Job Summary:
Emergency Room Nurse in an acute care setting. This position requires experienced ER nursing skills to function independently with backup support from the House Supervisor and ER physician. The role involves working in a small, seven-room emergency department with a focus on critical care and trauma care, providing quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 12-hour days, every other weekend, with a combination of 8-hour and 12-hour shifts during Day and Evening hours, working Sunday through Saturday.
- Required Qualifications: Valid Oregon Registered Nurse (RN) license verification, BLS required, ACLS required, TNCC required, PALS required, minimum of 2 years of ER experience, and sufficient experience to work independently with House Supervisor as backup from 2400-0700.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in a small ER setting.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information:
- Able to function independently, with support from the House Supervisor.
- Must have OR RN license in hand prior to starting; non-Oregon Licensed RNs can apply and may be eligible for a 90-day temporary license if their permanent license is not posted before the start.
- Work involves the use of Omnicell and MediTech for order entry.
- The unit has seven rooms and eight gurneys.
- Computer charting is covered on the unit in EPIC.
- Orientation includes a minimum of one 12-hour shift; no guaranteed hours during orientation.
- Client has a local radius restriction of 50 miles and may cancel or call off with 24 hours' notice up to 13 weeks.
- No EMS availability.
