Job Summary:
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse position located in a cardio-focused hospital setting with a level II trauma designation. The role involves providing acute patient care predominantly for elderly and pediatric populations, with a high patient volume. The assignment is scheduled for nights, with the start date on 09/06/2026, and is expected to last until 12/06/2026.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 12-hour evening shifts, 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Active Illinois licensed Registered Nurse (RN) license, CPR certification, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) or Trauma Nursing Services (TNS), Epic electronic health record experience, 2+ years ER experience, must pass an EKG test on the first day.
- Preferred Qualifications: Epic hospital experience, experience handling a high patient volume (around 3,000 patients per month).
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information: This position emphasizes caring for an elderly population in a cardio-centric hospital environment with pediatric patient responsibilities. The facility operates as a Level II trauma center, and experience with Epic electronic health records is essential to meet workflow demands.
