Job Description:

The Emergency Department RN is responsible for the accurate assessment of patient acuity and triage assignment. This role involves collaborating with physicians to develop care plans, ensuring patient safety, and prioritizing care needs. The RN will also oversee diagnostic tests and treatments while maintaining a high level of customer service and compassion.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately assess patient acuity and assign appropriate triage levels.
• Identify, prioritize, and accomplish patient needs in an organized, timely manner.
• Collaborate with physicians to provide appropriate plans of care.
• Exhibit high-level customer service skills and anticipate patient needs.
• Emphasize quality and compassion in patient care.
• Participate in problem-solving to improve process issues and patient flow.
• Coordinate diagnostic tests and treatments for timely patient care.
• Ensure maximum patient safety at all times.
• Adapt work duties to changes in patient volume.
• Maintain and improve professional relationships with other nursing units and ancillary departments.

Requirements:

• BSN
• BLS
• ACLS
• PALS
• ENPC
• TNCC
• 1 year ER experience (preferred)
