• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,820 - $1,910
• Schedule Notes: Weekend rotation every 3rd weekend; holiday rotation
• Float Requirement: May be required to float to other step-down/PCU units
• Unit Size: 23 beds
• Patient Ratios: 1:3 to 1:4
• EMR: EPIC

Job Requirements

• Active RN license in the state of Indiana
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in CVPCU, cardiac, thoracic, or vascular surgery patient care
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Strong progressive care, step-down, telemetry, and cardiac monitoring skills
• Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced, team-oriented acute care environment
• Must be comfortable with night shifts, weekend rotation, and floating as needed

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality nursing care to progressive care and step-down patients
• Monitor and assess patients with cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgical needs
• Administer medications and treatments per plan of care and unit protocols
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and care team members to support positive patient outcomes
• Interpret patient status changes promptly and escalate concerns when needed
• Document care accurately in the EPIC electronic medical record system
• Support unit workflows while maintaining excellent communication and professionalism
