• Unit Setting: 16-bed Cardiovascular ICU

Job Requirements

• Active RN license
• Minimum 1 year of ICU or CVICU experience required
• Strong experience titrating vesicant medications
• Working knowledge of pressors, sedation, and paralytics
• Experience with ventilators, trachs, and telemetry interpretation
• Understanding of hemodynamics and PA catheter setup and interpretation
• Ability to thrive in a high-acuity, fast-paced critical care environment
• CCRN, IABP, Impella, and CRRT knowledge preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide expert critical care nursing to cardiovascular and cardiothoracic patients
• Monitor and manage complex cardiac, respiratory, and hemodynamic conditions
• Administer and titrate high-risk medications safely and accurately
• Collaborate with physicians, intensivists, and the interdisciplinary care team
• Interpret telemetry, invasive hemodynamic data, and bedside monitoring systems
• Assist with procedures including cardioversion, central line insertion, bronchoscopy, chest tube insertion, pericardiocentesis, and thoracentesis
• Float to other areas as needed based on unit needs
• Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record (EHR)
