Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, CVICU – Tulsa, OK 74104
Start Date: September 8, 2026
Location: Tulsa, Oklahoma
Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (18:45 - 07:15), every other weekend required. Patient ratio 2:1. 13-week assignment.
Highlights:
- First-time travelers welcome in this supportive CVICU environment
- 24-bed unit caring for cardiac surgical and cardiac medical patients, with occasional adult medical ICU overflow
- Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, physical therapy, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and interpretation services
- Opportunity to work with advanced cardiac technologies including Impella, CVVHD/CRRT, and complex cardiac drip management
- May float to MSICU, Neuro ICU, or Burn ICU as needed with brief orientation provided
- Daily census of approximately 20 patients across 24 available beds
Requirements:
- Valid Oklahoma or Compact RN license required at time of submission
- Minimum 2 years of CVICU or critical care nursing experience
- Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Proficiency in arterial line management, ventilator care, central line management, blood product administration, and IV sedation
- Experience with cardiac and vasoactive drip titration, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and BiPAP/CPAP management
- Skills in PICC line management, sheath removal, chest tube assistance, and care of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction
- Must reside outside 75-mile radius from the facility
