Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, CVICU – Tyler, TX 75701
Start Date: September 8, 2026
Location: Tyler, Texas
Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM). Patient ratio 1:2. 91-day assignment with 36 hours of orientation.
Highlights:
- Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit position in a 10-bed unit with daily census of 7 patients
- Epic charting system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
- Advanced critical care environment managing post-cardiac surgery patients, ECMO, IABP, and complex cardiac drips
- Opportunity to work with diverse patient population including adults and geriatrics with multisystem organ dysfunction
- Collaborative team environment with access to physical therapy, radiology, social services, and interpretation services
Requirements:
- Active RN license (state or compact license required at time of submission)
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience preferred
- Previous travel nursing experience preferred
- Epic charting system experience required
- Experience with 1:2 patient ratios preferred
- Proficiency in arterial line management, ventilated patient care, central line management, ECMO, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, IABP, pulmonary artery line monitoring, and titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips
- Community hospital, LTAC, and Trauma Level I or II experience preferred
- Geographic restrictions apply; candidates residing in certain local counties are not eligible
