**Join Our Team as a Radiation Oncology Nurse!** **Job Description:** - **Position:** CO-Clinic RN - Radiation Oncology - **Shift:** 4 days a week, 10-hour shifts, weekdays only - **Experience Required:** Minimum of 2 years in Radiation Oncology (not Medical Oncology) - **Certifications:** - BLS/BCLS (Basic Life Support) through the American Heart Association - ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) through the American Heart Association **Key Responsibilities:** - Collaborate with the Radiation Oncology Team to ensure continuity and quality patient care. - Assess patient needs and implement nursing interventions for challenges related to their disease process and treatment. - Offer teaching and counseling to assist patients and families in coping with cancer diagnoses and treatments. - Assist in the evaluation and examination of patients alongside Radiation Oncologists. - Serve as the link between Radiation Oncology and other hospitals, departments, and physicians’ offices. - Provide referrals for alternative resources including recovery, rehabilitation, nursing home care, hospice, and nutritional services. **Qualifications:** - **Education:** - Current RN license in Colorado (in good standing) - **Experience:** - At least 2 years of direct RN experience in Radiation Oncology - **Skills:** - Quick adaptability in a fast-paced clinic environment - Proficient verbal and written communication with multidisciplinary teams - Strong organizational skills and flexibility - Knowledgeable in caring for diverse age groups, stages of human development, and cultural backgrounds - Familiarity with chronic illness and comorbidity management - Up-to-date with hematology/oncology and internal medicine practices - Understanding of evidence-based oncology, immunology, pharmacology, and community health **Application Requirements:** 1.
