Position Details
- Experience Required: 2 years
- Local Candidates: Accepted; must live 30 miles from the facility
- Patient Ratio: 1:4
- Weekend Requirement: No
- Floating: No
- Block Schedule: May be accommodated based on department needs
- On-Call: Yes — approximately 15 days of call per month every 3rd weekend
- RTO: Maximum 10 days; requires an additional 2 weeks added to the assignment
- No RTO during the first or last week of the assignment
Required Certifications
- ACLS
- BLS/BCLS
- RCIS
Job Responsibilities
The Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist RN (CVIS RN) works within the scope of an RN license while performing technical skills across Interventional Cardiovascular, Electrophysiology, and Interventional Radiology procedures.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing safe, efficient, and comfortable care to patients undergoing invasive procedures
- Assisting with angiography and cardiovascular procedures
- Patient preparation and assessment
- Monitoring patients throughout procedures
- Accurate clinical documentation
- Following Cardiovascular Services and hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards
- Collaborating with physicians and the multidisciplinary procedural team
