Job Summary:
Intensive Care Unit Cardiovascular (ICU CV) registered nurse position located in a healthcare facility. This role involves caring for post-open heart surgery patients, cardiac medical patients, and long-term ventilated patients. The position requires delivering high-quality patient management in a fast-paced acute care setting, with a focus on post-operative and cardiac patient care.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, every other weekend; may need to work consecutive weekends to accommodate requested time off.
- Required Qualifications: Oregon RN License, BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support). No minimum years of experience required.
- Preferred Qualifications: Three years of RN experience with one year of CVICU nursing experience, including care of post-heart cath recovery, post-operative open heart surgery patients, long-term ventilated patients, swan ganz catheter management, and vasoactive medication titration.
- Float: Float to ICU, Intermediate Care Unit, Emergency Department, Medical Surgical, telemetry, post-surgical, and orthopedic neuro units. Traveler RN may float as a resource nurse to any floor; float to med-surg involves a reduced assignment.
- Additional Information:
- Local radius restriction of 50 miles; candidates outside this radius encouraged to apply.
- 12 hours of non-billable orientation during the first work week; orientation duration is 12 hours.
- No scheduled call but may be placed on mandatory standby due to low census.
- Experience with Epic computer system, Omnicell Medication Administration, B. Braun IV Pumps, Avea ventilators, Edwards and Phillips patient monitoring required.
- Bed size/number of rooms: 20.
- Nurse to patient ratio: 1:1 and 1:2.
- Dress code: Standard scrubs in any color; visible tattoos restricted; facial jewelry limited to earrings and a small nose stud.
- Certification submission: Willing to wait for license to submit.
- Shift start date: 08/31/2026.
- End date: 11/30/2026.
