Job Summary:
The healthcare professional opportunity is located in Tyler, Texas, within an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Cardiovascular specialty at a healthcare facility. This role involves providing advanced patient care during night shifts, with a focus on adult and geriatric patients, utilizing specialized skills and certification requirements. The position supports a fast-paced environment requiring a proactive and compassionate approach to patient management.
Job Details:
- Shift: Nights (12-hour shifts)
- Schedule: Shift: 3x12 hour nights, Minimum Hours Per Week: 36.0
- Required Qualifications: Certifications: ACLS, BLS; Education: valid license in the state of Texas; Community hospital experience preferred; 2 years of experience preferred; Travel experience required; Valid state or compact license must be in hand at time of submittal; All RTO must be listed at time of submittal; Previous staff must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler.
- Preferred Qualifications: Trauma Level I and Level II experience, ICU experience, experience with arterial line management, care of patients on ECMO, vent management, central line care, interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs), and management of multisystem organ failure.
- Patient Ratios: Nights: 2 patients per nurse
- Charting System: Epic; charting experience required
- Additional Information:
- Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, and more.
- Daily census of 7 adult and geriatric patients in a unit with 10 beds and rooms.
- Onboarding requires completion of core items and labs within 48 hours of contract signing. Modules are completed onsite during orientation and are non-billable hours, with an average of 4-6 hours for registered nurses.
