Job Summary:
Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (Cath Lab) Registered Nurse (RN) position is located in an acute care hospital setting. The role involves providing specialized nursing care to adult and geriatric patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures within a Level I trauma center. The position requires working a schedule of 12-hour days, with a commitment of at least 48 hours per week, starting on 09/14/2026 and concluding on 12/14/2026.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum of 48 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid Illinois license, minimum of 1 year of relevant experience, ACLS and BLS certifications, experience in interventional cardiac catheterization procedures including diagnostic catheterizations, adult left heart catheterization, pulmonary artery line/Swan Ganz monitoring, right heart catheterization, procedural sedation administration and monitoring, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, and Cerner charting system experience
- Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience in a Level I trauma center, hospital experience in a similar setting
- Additional Information: Floating within scope may be required as needed; candidates may be asked to work 2-3 weekends during the contract. RTO restrictions ideally no more than 5 days. The candidate must have an active Illinois license in hand at the time of application. Orientation includes completing required modules before start, with Day 1 being a virtual orientation. The role involves working in a 5-room unit with a daily census of 25 patients.
