Job Summary:
A highly skilled Cardiovascular Certified Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (CCL) in Evanston, IL. This full-time position involves delivering comprehensive care to adult and geriatric patients undergoing cardiovascular procedures. The role emphasizes collaboration with physicians, meticulous preparation of procedure rooms, and vigilant monitoring of physiologic and hemodynamic data to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Job Details:
- Shift: Days, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with a minimum of 40 hours per week
- Start Date: 09/07/2026
- End Date: 12/07/2026
- Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Active state Registered Nursing (RN) License; required
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA); required
- Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification; required
- One (1) year clinical experience in a Cardiovascular Laboratory performing cardiac procedures or in a Critical Care environment; required
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with cardiac procedures and working in a cardiovascular setting
- Additional Information:
- Responsible for monitoring physiologic and hemodynamic data during diagnostic and therapeutic cardiovascular procedures.
- Prepare and maintain procedure rooms, ensuring all equipment is calibrated and ready.
- Manage supplies and inventory to support efficient workflow.
- Maintain thorough documentation of patient condition throughout procedures.
- Participate in quality improvement activities to enhance patient care and operational efficiency.
- Coverage includes OR/IR areas with call responsibilities every third weekend and at least 16 on-calls during a six-week period.
