Job Summary
The Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (CCL) nurse is based in a cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology (EP) lab within a healthcare facility. The role involves performing diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures, including cardiac catheterizations, percutaneous coronary interventions, LAAO procedures, and peripheral interventions. This assignment requires a highly proficient professional capable of working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment to support patient care and lab efficiency.
Job Details
- Location: Richmond, VA, at a facility with a dedicated Cardiac Cath & EP lab on the first floor, equipped with Philips and GE procedure tables and GE BT22 documentation system.
- Schedule: Days shift, 10 hours per day, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Certified in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS). A minimum of 1 year of experience working in a cardiac catheterization or electrophysiology lab, with proficiency in all diagnostic and interventional procedures, including STEMI call responsibilities.
- Preferred Qualifications: Proficiency in all three key rolescirculate, scrub, and monitor (GE MacLab). Experience with LAAO and peripheral procedures is highly desirable.
- Additional Information: The candidate must have a strong work ethic, be capable of working independently and with a team, and demonstrate flexibility in setup and procedures to meet physician and lab needs. On-call requirements include 1-2 STEMI call nights/week (including holidays) and 1 STEMI call weekend/month (including holidays).
