Job Summary:
The Cardiovascular Critical Care Nurse (CCL) specializing in Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (Cath Lab) is needed at a healthcare facility in Longmont, Colorado. This position involves working in a high-volume lab environment with a focus on acute cardiac procedures. The role includes circulating and monitoring cases, patient pre- and post-procedure care, and collaboration with cardiologists and technical staff to ensure quality patient outcomes.
Job Details:
- Location: Longmont, Colorado
- Schedule: Days shift, 4 days per week, 9 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Start Date: 08/24/2026
- Required Qualifications: Active BLS (American Heart Association) and ACLS (American Heart Association) certifications; minimum of 2 years of Cath Lab nursing experience; valid license to submit; experience with Epic, MacLab, Siemens EMR/equipment; proficient in care for patients with diagnoses such as STEMI, NSTEMI, pacemakers, and IR patients; ability to circulate and monitor cases, manage pre- and post-procedure patient calls.
- Preferred Qualifications: Willingness to learn IR procedures is a plus.
- Additional Information:
- Unit notes include a profile review with the organization and a peer interview process.
- The unit performs approximately 4 cases daily, a mix of cath and interventional radiology (IR).
- On-call requirements include some weeknights, weekends about every 3rd weekend, and holidays, with a response time of 30 minutes.
- Floating within zone 3 (LUTH, OCH, SAH, SANS) may be required in case of extreme need.
- Orientation is conducted over a couple of days following facility-wide orientation.
- Charting is done via EPIC.
