Job Requirements

• Active New Mexico RN license or current compact state RN license
• BLS certification required
• CPI certification or equivalent required; Blue Card preferred
• Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program
• At least 1 year of recent Registered Nurse experience required
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and the care team
• Comfort providing care for behavioral health or psychiatric patient populations

Responsibilities

• Perform initial psychiatric nursing assessments and establish patient care priorities based on symptoms, age, and psychosocial needs
• Reassess patients systematically and respond to changes in condition or trends that require intervention
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care
• Provide timely nursing interventions and document care accurately
• Participate in patient and family education, as well as discharge planning
• Complete point-of-care testing procedures as needed
• Deliver respectful, patient-centered care while supporting a safe and therapeutic behavioral health environment
