Job Summary:
Ambulatory Care Medical Surgical Skilled Nurse position is based in a healthcare facility within an ambulatory care setting. The role involves providing clinical services in urgent care, assisting providers and staff, maintaining documentation, and ensuring quality patient care. Candidates must possess an active Alaska nursing license and recent Urgent Care experience within the last two years.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift; 12 hours per shift; minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Current full, unrestricted Registered Nursing license in Alaska; active Alaska license at time of submittal; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; high school diploma or equivalent; 2 years of urgent care experience
- Preferred Qualifications: None listed
- Additional Information: Position functions within the Urgent Care Department to assist patients and medical staff within the ambulatory care setting. Responsible for maintaining skill sets, annual competencies, certifications, and participating in educational programs. Ensures a clean and safe working environment, manages medication inventory, performs quality control checks, and documents care and services professionally and promptly. The role involves overseeing clinic opening and closing, assisting providers, and communicating effectively with departmental staff. Proof of flu vaccination is required. The start date will be no less than 5 weeks after the receipt of fingerprint cards at the organization in Juneau for processing. The organization does not provide housing or transportation; it is the responsibility of the traveler to arrange accommodations.
