United Health Services is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join UHS Binghamton General Hospital as a Nursing Coordinator supporting the Emergency Department (ED), Comprehensive Psychiatric Emergency Program (CPEP), and Extended Observation Beds (EOB). This leadership role combines clinical expertise with operational coordination to support patient flow, departmental efficiency, and exceptional patient care in a fast-paced emergency and behavioral health setting. As a clinical resource and role model for staff, you will help foster a safe, patient-centered environment while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure timely, effective care delivery. In this role, you will support day-to-day department operations, lead process improvement and quality initiatives, and contribute to projects that enhance patient outcomes, experience, and regulatory compliance. Working closely with nursing leadership, you will help drive strategic priorities, promote operational excellence, and support staff in delivering high-quality care. This is an excellent opportunity for an RN who is passionate about leadership, collaboration, and making a meaningful impact across emergency and psychiatric services.

Monday through Friday
3PM - 11PM
Education/Experience
Minimum Required:
A graduate of an accredited school of Nursing
Bachelors in Nursing
Two (2) years of clinical nursing experience
Preferred:
Previous leadership experience
License/Certification
Minimum Required:
Current New York State Registered Nurse License
CPR within 3 months of hire
Completion of professional certification in the relevant specialty practice within 3 years.
Preferred:
Current professional certification in the relevant specialty
Work Environment
Work is performed in an office environment and patient care areas which require working in proximity to other employees and patients. Rooms are air conditioned and heated.
Frequent walking, standing, bending and lifting.
Fast paced environment with frequent interruptions.
Exposure to equipment cleaning solutions and disinfectants.
PPE (Eyewear, Masks, Face shields, Shoe covers, and Gloves) as required by UHS Hospitals Infection Control policies.
