Oncology / Med-Surg RN – Travel Contract
Shift: Nights | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | 12-hour shifts Contract: 90 weeks
Job Description: Ascension Via Christi St. Francis is seeking an experienced Oncology Registered Nurse to provide compassionate care for adult oncology patients in a 35-bed oncology unit. The unit also accepts general medical-surgical overflow, so candidates should be comfortable caring for a mixed patient population.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to oncology and Med-Surg patients
- Administer chemotherapy and other prescribed treatments as applicable
- Monitor patient condition and manage symptoms
- Perform assessments, medication administration, and patient education
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary healthcare team
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure high-quality patient care
Requirements:
- Active RN license
- Oncology nursing experience required
- Med-Surg experience preferred
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced acute care environment
Schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | Nights Contract Length: 90 weeks
